The
party never starts for Candice Manning, a complete social introvert who
suffers from anxiety and depression. Almost never leaving her house,
and passing as a beta whenever she has to be in public, she lives with
her aging cat and stunted iguana. Unfortunately, omegas are legally
required to live with their family or in an omega community; but she's
been making it on her own since her guardian died three years ago.
Her
current goal in life is to avoid people and ensure no one connects the
beta down the street, who never moved away from her hometown, with her
online persona, Candy Man, a fairly popular NSFW artist who draws a lot
of dicks. Things aren’t great, but they could be worse.
That is until an online stalker and a scent match throw Candice together with Pack Asher: led by the overprotective alpahole Gabe, hunky but reserved vet Leo, intelligent and laid-back Xan and his best friend and lover Jacks.
Can one sweet and spicy omega in hiding and her scaly green companion find a way to stop her inner voices enough to let four damaged alphas take care of her?
Kelly is a sweet and clumsy beta girl. Her life plans include graduating college with her B.S. in kinesiology and moving out of her parent’s house. Someplace where her brother won’t use up all the hot water every morning. Instead, she finds herself scent matched to an alpha, Sam, and omega, Teddy, at her bosses mating ceremony.
One whirlwind of family outrage later, she’s all packed-up and moving in with her new mates. At least that was the new plan until two alphas from Teddy’s past roll into town looking for him. Trapped together, will they all learn to play nice and get along, or will Kelly have to enlist the aid of Sam’s dog Jake, to help her bury the bodies in the backyard?
The newly formed Pack Carpenter is in for a bumpy ride trying to figure out how to fit all their lives together. After all, building a pack is ruff.
So, Kelly loves Teddy and Sam, but Garret's super sweet, if a little clingy. Sam loves Teddy and Kelly, and would really like Steve if he’d stop being such a jealous brat. Teddy loves everybody, but some more than others. Steve loves Teddy, thinks Sam is hot, loves his brother Garret in a different way…and is super jealous of Kelly. Garret just wants Kelly. Everybody else can fall off the face of the earth.
Confused yet, yeah, so are they. How the heck did five such different people come to live together? How has Kelly not managed to injure herself worse? What happened to all the nesting stuff Teddy ordered, and will his nest be finished in time for his impending heat? What’s up with Steve and Garret’s dad? Can Sam afford to take care of all these new people? Will Jake ever get those ear scratches he so desperately deserves for being a good boy? Find out in the thrilling conclusion of Building a Pack is Ruff, part 2.
